A storm of ignorance

Being confronted by hilarious and bloody noobish behaviours/sayings/accusations of people, i just thought about writing a blogpost about the veil of ignorance drawn over the E+ community...

"Prejudice is the child of ignorance" by William Hazzlit ( a british writer famous of his humanistic essays)

Lets start about what ignorance i am talking about... the definition to this word differs depending on context.. I am talking about the lack of willingness to accept a choice made and formed by more than 50% of this community...

It seems like people in here, are becoming more and more narrow-minded...The only thing they see is what they WANT to see...

Some people, we know who, accuse old-schoolers, for being ignorant and using their reputation to stomp on the "low level" players suggestions/oppinions....These people just like being the victim in a case..
It doesnt matter WHAT way, HOW, WHAT and WHEN you say, they just stretch the other players WORDS, and start instulting and talking about him/her and putting everyone of his friends/clanmates into 1 fucking melting pot...Guess who is the ignorant?

A clear way of how democracy works, if 80 people like the TEST.cfg and 20 people dont, means that the TEST.cfg will stay on server....Since you 20 people cant do anything grin and bear with the situation...
Then some of the 20 people start flaming about switch time, spawnprotection, friendlyfire and get confronted either by the rest 80's or creator/helper of the TEST.cfg, who dont share the same oppinion, and again.

Lets talk a little bit more specific....plusN config (which is based on old e+ configs)... switchtime whining (which is all about timing in the end), lg-sg-lg shit.... and that people are not willing to accept new configs...

BULLSHIT

Take bananarail.cfg... An awesome config, really fun to play... and a NEW one, all people play on it....creators of plusn, lovers of plusn, haters of plusn...

So flamers, did u see any oldschooler or any1 trying to do ANYTHING AGAINST this cfg?
It was a new suggestion of a new clan, who no1 knew about Tongue and no1 stopmed on it...

Another example...

If the flamers say that some specific known people are not willing for new things...why are there so many maps on every server? cpm maps, custom maps??

Those little things, which are working against the flamers attitude, are overlooked...

Anyway I am not really in the mood anymore to write other examples and go further in it

I just have to say that people stop accusing anyone and for fuckings sake dont twist other peoples word ( this i personally refer to ZMB*KID)

Not everyone shares the same oppinion with you (general speaking).. So be ready to take criticism like a man and discuss it privately (not on servers for eg) or in forum...and dont act childish flaming around...

I have same problem ( non shooting weapons when switching + shooting weapons that dont really shoot even thought I hear+See them half a second before I die - e.g sg from point blank hits + blood + I die like 100ms after that and enemy still with full hp. ) Will it help me to send you a demo skull?

ice nine, if the situation is, that u get killed before u switch-shot, than it is also ping/animation releated. enemy shot simply earlier. Than u can curse it on the unlagged technologoy.

Anyway, unlagged can be turned off, than people with ping +50 will get serios problems to hit, and need to learn to for-aim again, like before 2004, when unlagged was still pretty new.

I think zmb will have to seriously talk to kid because of that rat thing.... there's no other way...
there are 1 or 2 people I really dislike on public servers but I just ignore them.....

this has gone too far accusing the whole clan like that, I apologize for that, I and other zombies don't share kid's "rat thoughts" about f2b or any other clans! <3

What do you mean by switchshot? well I think we're talkin about same thing, and yeah that's what I concluded of this aswell - enemy shot earlier but on my screen it just looks otherwise. I get that, and I love unlagged cause I know how hard it is to play without it ( played America's Army , was excellent with predicting locations and shooting with 200+ ping ), all I want people to acknowledge is, that unlagged doesnt make people with ping above 90 do not have complete equal terms against people with -60 and lower.

i9: try xp_delagweapons 0 and ull just have the shoots displayed which the server told you are actually there.

about nonshooting weapons:

i have the same problem, in e5r the weaponmodel (yes i use them) changes.. and as soon as it does so i can use the weapon to shoot, but in plusn there is a delay, i see weaponmodels switching but i cant shoot for like 50-100? ms and because i only tip my mousebutton a short time it does nothing.. then i am either dead, switched to the next weapon without shooting the first.. or realize it in time and klick again to finaly release the shot.. it is ultraannoying and counterintuitive that you cant use the weapon when you allready see the model...

yea, nevertheless, it has nothing to do with it in any case.

Let's extend it to the todays weather or GER vs ENG yesterday.

Switchtimes belong in the plusN.cfg-Thread of fala, or the plusC thread of camel (ups, there is no plusC thread... ^^ omg, how..., why...)

skull brought it up to explain kids behaviour .. why didnt you complain then allready? Winking

i have no problem that i will never get anything right in plusn.. i have e5r and retro (switchtimes are long but i can shoot as soon as the weaponmodell changes.. so it is no problem) to play, which are very nice 

the only sad thing is that ctf competition died along with e5 and the change from 1.03 to 1.04 to 2.0a in one ctf cup... it is such a fun gametype compared to freeze (more time to actually make an impact, no pauses to set one off the rythm and faster paced since freeze is hide, sneak, rush, hide, sneak, rush.. you can almost never establish a nice flow of gameplay you allways have to calm back down and wait..)
