@druk,the config saving to the excessive path,so everything ok
@terror,i can bet that the default zonemegs makes me a huge joinlag (each of time=get fragged),had many cfgs cause im like to changing settings and never had problems with joinlags since got an issue with default zonemegs.
@mad,was trying to check just to read only,still latched..btw siemano Happy
thx for tips guys,dunno what the f*ck but its so annoying,got a clean updated win7x64 just with nod av,though even that some progs not allowing to change..pm if some1 got a link to CLEAN q3 copy without hundreds of mods inside,had teamclick.org direct link but its down.

Thank u Gangstr but still crap,was trying to do the same and change in both cfgs(baseq3 and e+),even lower,got the latched info.Btw got 8gb of ram to fill the info

did you set zonemegs by editing your config file or did you use the command ingame?
I read on forums that memory is allocated even before config files are read, and that you can only modify zonemegs through the console.

you might also try to add this parameter to your q3 shortcut (and set your personal value):
"C:\quake3\quake3.exe" +set com_zoneMegs "xxx"

no I didn't try this before posting but I remember having the same kind of issue when someone sent me his cfg file, not sure how I solved it though

create autoexec.cfg in excessiveplus folder put whatever setting u want and change parameters to "read only"
if it won't work, open window and throw out your monitor Smug

delete whole q3 and made a fresh copy with default cfgs,guess what...still the same! so its for sure something with win7 cause im running in processes just the nod av and nothing more.

This stopped working for me years ago. Gave up trying to figure it out. Some windows update rendering it permanently latched? Tongue

sounds not optimistic,ive tryed so many things that just changing OS left : D like Mircwar said,the problem comes along with the win update so for sure thats not a q3 thing. If i get to it i'll post the solution
