I am playing America's Army lately. And this PB issue was present in that game. Difference is that PB is implemented into AA, always comes with game, and there is no way to not install it.

I spoke to a IT proffesional some days ago about vista and he said I should wait till after the summer when the sp1 is released, because there were problems with drivers and other stuff.

opengl ftw, as long as there is id software i dont think we need to get vista.

I got Vista im a os junky.I knew their was alot wronge with it befor buying it..Alot of software is not working with it seems not has much support for it..I download the news driver for nvidia and when i go to install it says needs vista os for this too install,, it is Vista... Dont no y i having this problem..It could be because of duel-boot vista on d drive..mybee its unziping too c drive ... have too try it again...Meny people have lost their hard drives also because frist boot can take up 25 mins....they try to restart it and loss hard drive...I think this happen to me with bata,somehow i forget now but was able to reformant the drive over I think i had to do it in dos....Any way it sould make for alot of work and many angery people

Yeah and I'll be playing Crysis, while you wait for openGL to catch up. Big grin Damn it, Dx10 pwns. I Installed Vista a week ago, because I get it for free from my university. But as soon as I watched the DX 10 geforce 8 techdemos I uninstalled vista again, because it is the hell of an interface-nightmare!! Damn it, it is even more unfinished than XP was. Basic tasks like browsing a folder for videofiles without entering a keyword simply aren't possible. Entering the advanced search can be a pain in the ass. Everything was put together so nicely in xp, but now if u want to change something you have to browse through mutliple windows instead of just switching between tabs. But Microsoft included a big open plugin support. So I guess in half a year the new windows will be totally usable, as XP is today. Let's Pray to Es once again!! Happy

BTW, these were only a few things pissing me off about Vista, while actually there were many more. Like only 3 out of 11 programs worked and stuff like that. And like, no drivers for my gfx card. Had to use a betadriver for my cute little geforce 8800 Winking

bah Confused .. i installed vista and its all bullshit Confused ..

its like XP + visual styles + 80% bugs. .. but its inevitable Happy in a couple of years everyone will be forced to have it .. Happy in the meanwhile. ill stick with XP. runs smoother and better performance.

if u want Vista's looks.. just go to stylexp and download some visual style related to Vista Happy and bwala!!

for example Happy i got Media + Cursors from Vista Tongue

and i think vista runs opengl, very incompatible with Quake Thinking

But stylexp can't handly those nice pixelshader effects, vista is coming with!! They look really amazing sometimes and also the 3d-window browser is a nicer alt+tab-version, but actually unneccessary...

Besides StyleXP is crap. Check out UXthemepatcher, which enables you to choose visualstyle from the normal desktop properties window and is a lot more ressource sabing. A friend of mine "Yeah" also uses litestep, which uses even lass ram than the normal windows designs and can do a lot more. But I am happy with my current theme... Happy
