So, you ask for more respect for what you do.
Just can say, many people have respect for that what you did. Count the thank yous on the regarding threads please.
But all you did is voluntary, keep this in mind please, i suggest you speak with beast+ personally, how he handles the problem, he did far more than you and has to fight (if he cares) with the same problems.

well, just a rl-example.
If i make a offer to a customer, without he asked for it, i can't expect that he even will read it.
Speaking for myself, i am not interested in testing anything anymore. I wanna play, thats all. If there will be improvements, ofc i take them, but i won't do anything anymore for it.
I still would play if u take all improvements away, and i had to play suddenly 1.02b again, while most people here would complain "oh, fucking slow switchtime". care or care not, better care not. Make things for urself, and not for others.

I hate to do things for nothing, the only thing where I have found real help is qname.
and what I did was not only after a need I guessed but also ppl asking.
For the game itself, I am not addicted to it anymore, so I can live without playing on any server.
It's not trolls who make ppl lose motivation but the big part of community which doesn't care at all.
Wanna avoid seeying mow, skull & co

Again, if u expect to be praised for things you do, if u expect help, if u expect respect for what you do, than better let it be and do nothing anymore.
People are like that (in generall).
If you do it, just because you love to do it, continoue, otherwise not.

1) I find the whole idea of those robots funny. They do nothing apart from upping your server's rankings (on master server, no1 will care cos e+, on e+ rankings read explanation below).
And in direct relation to e+: old player sees server on spider with 20 ppl, clicks on it and sees 20 999s and does not connect. Player connecting from main menu in quake connects, sees that server is empty and does not say.
2) The fact people are offended by it is even more retarded. Hey guys, try #care.
3) This is not a massive quake portal. You are not Sujoy Roy or xou or even Sordo. You do things for fun, not to be appreciated. And there will be no "massive effect". this community has the attention span of goldfish (no offence, community c:) and new players won't even know u were there c:

There are currently 1 user and 6 guests online.
No mow, I don't need ppl to thank me, I don't do things so ppl thank me.
When I do something I need only feedback. And I know it's my choice to make things or not.
here are some examples :
- When I was XP leader and made a huge map for my clan and has created a building for them, and asked them to choose a room so I make it as their own room, they weren't interested to even come or test and they did't care.
- When I have made maps for e+ (I have 10more unfinished maps) it was so sad to not find enough ppl to test it really and have real feedback, no support from server owners, I have asked reno many times to add my map for only 1-2weeks on beer, he has refused.
- When I made all baseq3 ents, where are ppl to test really and help you fix things ? All you get is negative and rare positive or usefull feedback.
- And last one, when many ppl tell you : yes I would like to play on your servers it's cool, but they go to beer (because it is full) while I saw last week only one person idling there alone (why does he go to beer, it's empty ?) I don't trust them.
After many things like that, why do I bother help community when it doesn't help me to improve itself ?Wanna avoid seeying mow, skull & co
