Well, you cant compare a optimized sp3 with a default setted vista Happy

My pc starts on default xp in 53 seconds and on default vista in 22 seconds from the point of pressing the powerbutton to the point i see the desktop.

and windows 7 will be much different when it is released, then u see it in nowadays presentations. and windows 7 will be not released before 2011 imo.

any bet which would make sense? i have no idea what i could bet with you Happy

Longhorn was the codename for Vista - they are the same OS. Vista hasn't done so well, since XP was MS's first reliable and stable OS - and people continue to emphasise the ole cliche, "if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it". The typical home user doesn't release that it takes time to perfect an OS and XP was no exception 'back in the day'.

there is one aspect. Microsoft spend enought money to longhorn and vista research and this research have to be payed. Its reason why microsoft wont release win7 so soon like you think.

How mow said, you cant compare your crippled xp with default vista. For vista is similar program like nlite, i think its called vlite.

XP look never can be so good like vista because of vista using 3d acceleration for effects. So everythink is much smooth and everything is transparent. XP arent built for this.

I think this discussion is out of control Idea :!:

U may notice in that clip that vista which we have today is miles behind from the concept presented in that clip Smug Im atm having some problems with xp sp3, and so do many ppl, stability wise, if i dont manage to fix these problems im gonna deffinetly give the latest vista a try and see for myself whats it like.

ie is full of bugs. I dont know why you cant post on shoutbox. You can try to check if you have allowed cookies but i think you do and problem is somewhere is microsoft.

Why firefox dont want to use firefox? Its the most stable, flexible and suported browser atm. When you dont using it, you have to count with possible problems Winking

Its easy to recommend another program Smug But it should work on IE as well..
Did u install all windows updates including updates for IE 7? + plugins such as java, flash, etc...

If u did all i can think of atm is adding e+ site into trusted sites in your browsers options->security and make sure firewall isnt blocking something.

Just imagine the system resources a construction like that would take up. Lol @ "coming October 2003" since this "early longhorn" would've ripped computers in that era apart.
Its obvious things had to be re-jigged since they probably didn't have time to perfect that theme. On the positive note, it looks quite a bit like early video's of Windows 7.

@foxy, try doing what Ratz has suggested i.e. running all windows updates and ensuring you have all plugins installed such as java and flash. I still suggest getting either Firefox or Opera though. I.E is not as secure as those.

Im running vista x64 SP2 atm and i tested sending msg to shoutbox from IE7 and it works here.
