LOL...i wrote my post in December 2008 (after i kicked all Razer stuff away),
and i did it that way cause i use the producers software.
I have read (don't know where) what the Q3 engine knows no button 4 or 5.
So i searched for a simple solution and since i use a the "team" G15 and G9 i have no SetPoint problems (hm,maybe what could be a conspiracy from Logi.... ).
We all know that a problem that is solved on our own PC not must work the same way on a other.
For me is no need to use a foreign software like XMBC.
Not really a help...but a statement

i'm an abitual Deathadder user and i prefer that with its own software,
but on my old pc+ logi G5/MX518 with low resources i use this utility + CPL mousefix for accel and imho it's my best solution instead the bloodsucker setpoint.

whats wrong with setpoint? too much ram usage?
im using my mx518 without setpoint atm, but only cuz of lazyness, i suppose it still runs with 1800dpi? if so, then there wouldnt be any need for the setpoint, or does it have any effect on the "playability"?^^

your mouse aint running at 1800 DPI iff u dont have the softwarez installed! Im guessing its at 600- 800 dpi something currently for u! Dont remember the exakt valuas as deafult on this.

And about this Whitout Softwarez install

There r many players that runn whit softwarez installed especially to the MX5.18 Dont think there are anything wrong whit those drivs they work good at that bran and mouse (my oppinion)

I prefer whit out the drivs this is MAINLY the reason that it feals better and less problems in game whit sens etc. And ofc depens on what MOUSE BRAN u usin. Iff i used a MX5.18 then i would go for the soft drivs. This is OFC from player 2 player 2 decide etc etc its hard 2 explain and mabey its only in my mind this works not in the game
