Nahh i dont think it's impossible, just undiscovered, and seeing as its a pretty useless, (IMO) feature, nobody will do research to find a way...

to back up my argument about it being possible, just look at the mg and plasma for example - they have to travel through the air before reaching the enemy and therefore have a slight delay...maybe if you modify the characteristics of these - experimenting with projectile speed and damages, you can emulate the stuff you intend to find

um, that wouldnt be client side or?

Yeah, was just about to write the same thing. We're talking client side here, not server side. Also, MG is a hitscan weapon, just like RG, it's bullets do not have any sort of delay in reaching the nearest solid in their trajectory.

i think what he means is a sort of charge time (different from reload). so once u press they key, it'll take say 200 ms to charge up and then it will shoot.

its not so weird an idea, but i suppose in this particular context it is. it was however one of the options debated in the cpm community for nerfing the rg.
