hey guys,

my quake is freezing all the time and i donno why.
Its iregular and for about 30-40 sec.
Ive reinstalled quake...
Ive reinstalled win.
But its still the same.

Maybe someone of u had the same trouble and is able to help me.

ive just reinstalled everything so ive got only the standart pk3s and cpm14 in it.

so beter start think is hardware issue, q3 is realy sensitive if comes to memory check it first

btw just donload prime95 and run test

I had such problem few years ago. Every game worked fine, but only those on quake 3 engine hanged all the time. My graphic card was little broken.

so it is freezing some time but then goes normal again ? ... i have same since some time and i tryed arround 200 things to fix that, nothing helped till now but i think it has something to do with refresh-rate ... for me its not that bad cause its only comming up once or twice per 2-3 hours playin and its not 30 secs ... only 8-15 Tongue ^^

what for hardware u got ? ... not a Radeon x1600pro (512mb) or ? Happy

1gb ddr ram
geforce 7600 gt

ive reinstalled everything (drivers, os, quake...) its still doing that shit.
Think i have to live with it.

Tell me what temperatures u got?

Cpu,case,hdd,vga? Also,did u overclock?

Sounds to me like a problem which could be solved by new mbo or different vga drivers...but could be overheating also.

the temperatures are ok....and ive installed different kind of drivers to test it....nothing works on it....and no, i didnt overclock anything.

btw till now everything worked without freezing Big grin
