imo I think looks really awesome, ye people tend to hate what's new, but any game, life, project, work, company needs to update or die, yes we play a 15 year old game, and yeah it might not be as it was with past quakes but I really think this is something creative, and have this game with new technology I think is something we should give a try, F1 for me, I'll try it, hope we can do something like quake champions/e+ version Big grin that be really cool.

But as I said is my personal opinion.

depends how the movement works, 100%. Even overwatch feels a little bit clunky and slow compared to q3... If they make it nice and fast i'll buy it :]

Quake Champions will be used engine "idteck 6" like as DOOM (2016) from "Bethesda" and new Wolfenstein from "MachineGames".
Graphically that will be looks like a DOOM.
At that moment engine idteck 6 not support linux, for me is not actual.
As for different skills of characters it is not classic Quake games, causes serious doubts.
I think, it will failed project.

my point exactly.
Id sees the most they can make of game but most of the multiplayer they make will die if doesnt become e-sport
which I think they're trying to do now, so ql as e-sport will die if all attention goes to quake champions or vice versa, people will stick to classic and wount touch the new game especially if they add a price tag to it.
I'm hoping for an open beta so atleast we can taste what we buy beforehand like people did with overwatch, given noone gives Demos anymore.
Given I didnt get my hands on any beta of DooM I wont buy it either unless I can get my hands on a cracked version, maybe then I'll decide. I mostly never buy a game over 30 bucks if I dont get to feel it out on my own, gameplay videos are a vague way of showing insight of the game and you're basically being a cuckold if you're judging a game by a gameplay video.
