Its possible to disable items, moreover ALL entities to be drawn in whole quake3. r_drawentities triggers it, r_drawworld triggers map drawing.

I have full sony vegas 7.0 and I cant add small video clips saved in avi format and compressed in xvid codec, anyone know what compressed type of file can I use instead of that?

You want to work with a compressed avi in vegas ? ;o ... so first of all i dont know what you got for a problem there, especially vegas can open near all kinds of files/codecs (if you have the right version of de/encoder of this codec installed)

I have also tried progs like Video Deluxe which cant open uncompressed avi sequences and some codecstuff (this is fixed with a very late upcomming update but sux anyway)

How said i got no prob to open any file in vegas ... perhaps u should try to reinstall all your codecstuff (or update it, perhaps u got an old xvid decoder installed which isnt compatible on this sequence [Players like VLC have their own decoders + codecs for it])

but avi file compressed with 3ivx D4 4.5.1 Video codec works normally in vegas :roll:

avi compressed with xvid are not previewed in vegas I can add it but it not work.

maybe you lack the decoder? (you have encode only)

but why oh why do you compress files before being done? do you intentionally want to have 1/4 screen pixels? Big grin

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

Sunday morning so i dug around a bit and found this:

Alright, I found the solution:

1. Change the fourCC code of the XviD file to "DIVX" instead of "XVID"
2. As pointed out earlier, the MP3 stream must be in "CBR" instead of "VBR"

That is all to it! Premiere Pro (comment: same goes for vegas) will open all my XviD home-made clips off DV tape after doing the above.

Oh but make sure you do have Divx codec. I use the 5.2.1 that came with GordianKnot codec pack.

Don't know if that's exactly your problem so...

still dunno, I have good xvid codec decoder + encoder for it, I was using it always coz this is best solution for me, but now I will use 3ivx D4 4.5.1 Video codec coz he is working Happy

Is this looks pixels for you ? Big grin
