Size: 15,9 KB (16 365 bytes) then it will reset the config

(if you are using Windows and look the file size under properties don't
look the "Size on disk" part, instead look the "Size".)

autoexec.cfg doesn't seem to suffer this limitation.

Cfg reset is caused by cheat: many times if player use cheat when he connect to a server the cfg reset to default.
I will post the link where i read it...

Q3 config resets?

My sources, on the other hand, say that quake 3 config can be reset by powerful telepathic surges. So if the problem occurs, be sure to check your drawer for hidden mutants !

There's also the unconfirmed rumor of a breed of "vicious annoying silly hermit" garden gnomes that like to reset the config when no one's looking.
