the only thing i can imagine , since there are no errors or kicks, that ur pb has problem with another background program....
I had it too once, it was cause by Get Right program...
Therefore look for programs which COULD be uninstalled try it and reinstall and so on dont know

it was NOT some firewall or antivirus, NOT any thing in common with PB but.....
ATI Tray Tools which have my profiles for graphic card cooler..... dunno why but that is the reason for all problems...

Have the same problem on win 7 64bit changed on 86 and now everything fine.
