Ok, so ive got quake3 some weeks ago from a torrent, installed pointrelease and pb + update@pb

Both processes are running in the task manager. processes : pnkbstrA and pnkbstrB

Ive restarted them several times in teh services window(control panel), but i still got the problem as in the screen below.

well as its with black and its kinda hard to read it here it goes :

thc*kraster punkbuster kicked player 't7300a'(for 0 minutes)

Restriction : Service Communication failure pnkbstrb?exe driver failure (pnkbstrk?sys) ffab

some letters after

and then punkbuster client removing : same thing.

Please Help!

Thanks to the lovely leade of THC, also known as Mr Fate the problem is solved. Had to delete pnkbstr.sys from system32/drivers folder .

delete PB folder
update PB from scratch with pbsetup
get pbsvc from here: http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
see what happens

yep PBsetub working, just Add game find Q3A than Check for updates, etc.

its fucked up ..ive deleted+install then used that tool u gave me and when it does its checking at a point the computer restarts.. did it twice..same result.. as far as i got it from the log it was after pnkbstrk driver stopped, pnkbstrk deleted, one more row and ok and then restarted..dunno if its pnkbstrk but smth similliar.. i mean related to the problem i got.. should i deleete it first from safe mode and then turn back to windows so wont get me restarted?

u might try deinstall and update on safe mode.
