i did nothing wrong!..i got this new 19 inch monitor...now i can play with 2048x1536 (before it was 1024x768) on fullscreen...it worked yesterday...but since today i got this error message when i want to change it in the settingsmenue to 2048x1536:
anyone can help me out here?

Maybe it's not help you but tray. I have the same error and I instaled PointRelase again and works again good. Hmm. just maybe tray.

I know the lower resolutions (4xx * 3** i think) aren't supported in full screen mode. I wouldn't be supprised if it were the same for some other - higher end- resoluitions. Probably not helping you much but my advice - just playt in lower resolution.

Check out this setting in your config, maybe u edited it without knowing ... r_stereo "0" it should stay @ 0, if its 1 u guess you got your problem, if not then my question: "does it work with lower resolutions"?

its 0!
resolution 1600 x 1200 and 2048 x 1536 end in this error message....but i think ill just take one resolution lower then...reinstall didnt worked btw

your graphics card cant handle those resolutions.
remember, if you turn on antialiasing, your maximum resolution becomes lower, especialy on wierd multipliers like 6x.

@Topic - Inter, have you tried running quake at lower refresh rates?

@ orpheus: i already played it in highest resolution on fullscreen! that was sunday...when i got 1024x768 or 900x600 i cant switch to fullscreen too and i just got a window with this format then
