just for your information, most rest of quakers think low about any instagib/spam based mod which most "fun" mods are.

If you want to gain attention make a cup with osp alike gamestyle. sooner or later that has to draw attention.

Apart the speech that talk about "respect for any idea whichever it is expecially if the aim is to improve something" i think that if we do something to renew, improve, advertise, share the mod, we do this for the people who likes the mod.
The problem is that many persons could likes the mod but they don't know that the mod exist.
I would like (and not only me) to have an opinion from devs and mods about all the ideas listed before.

players know about the mod, but they don't know the whole story Winking

 

They just hear "exce...fullstop" and assiciate "excessive = spam". They

don't know the difference between e+ and excessive. What u need to try is, to

make people know, that e+ can be actually nearly anything you want it be. Many

many mods can be rebuild with e+. Even if it wouldn't be 100 % the same, you can

try to catch cpm/osp players with a nicemade cpm/osp alike config, actually you

could theoretically push the whole noghost scene from noghost 1.16 to e+ 1.32,

but i am afraid that they are afraid to get catched for cheating Winking which is imo

the main-reason why they didn't gave e+ a chance.

 

Actually it would be pretty easy to attract new players with busy servers

with the relevant configs, when the ip-script for servers would still work, but

id fixed that exploit, which means, it is hard to make a server

busy.

For all ideas need someone who make it real. 

Actually need  more developers such as coders (for improving mod) , webdevs (to finish this site). Also I think need designer (for some art work),  and ppl for documentation and some one who will organize it all.

Make a comparison between e+ and quake live, ql has many more players then e+, then q3, and then every others mod for q3. Q3 is old and no one will reinstall it to play q3(cause will be easier to play ql), but this cause they don't know about this mod, if u want new people here you have to let them know that this mod exist, you have to ADVERTISE like ql did in past very well, you have to improve the site and the feature for the mod. Look their site, their stats, all looks better, but e+ is the real game! I know that many would prefere E+!

I agree, but how can you advertise e+ as much as ql is when they invest lots of money for that purpose alone in ql?
you make it sound like they started from same conditions and abilities as e+ did, but they have put big money into the product (QL) so that they get it back multiplied in future... it's marketing... you can't compare e+ with ql in that way (actually in any way)... if e+ staff (??) had that much money to hire developers and web designers, this site/game/everything would look just as good as ql looks now, and probably have as many players no matter how bad/noob/spam mod some people claim it is Winking

as monk said before someone (people in charge? Worried hmm) needs to hire a developer to create a standalone game (cause people are lazy to install q3, then this, then that)...not to mention I see many possible problems around that whole process too...ID would probably make restrictions on that game (mod) based on their game... those restrictions and financing are (I think) the main reason that isn't done yet, it's not like people haven't thought of this before.
best thing you can do for now is what anubis does - advertise e+ in best possible way in moddb,,,

I think there is other way.

E+ power is not only one aspect it's super customable. You can have about (everything) with.

What I propose is to make a video of each aspect then regoup few of each to have a trailer video.

Yes and I am serious, this can be done. and if you think some aspect is shit other ppl will say wow this rox for me, I wanna play it.

Each player has his preferences. Diversity is the word here.

We can't do the same of ql but we can start doing something, if we don't try to do something, we surely don't do it.
For now those are the ideas:

1 )advertise around the internet(moddb, wiki pages, quake sites, etc).
2 )a standalone game with new maps and models.
3 )make on E+ gametype and maps from Q3 TEAM ARENA.
4 )Add e+ to Clanbase or ESL..
5 )more developers such as coders (for improving mod).
6 )webdevs (to finish this site).
7 )designer (for some art work).
8 )people for documentation.
9 )make a trailer video.

Which are realizable, wich not?

But here seems few people are interested about it.
If necessary I will call leaders, admin, mod and all the registered user Tongue name by name to have their opinion, I don't want this post die while WE do nothing.

yes this is something, well take me as example, (moddb, as i do not play so often, lnt web..) from time to time some people come to our lnt site - as i say form nowhere, some stays some not

but fact is LT team spreads, form friend to friend and so on, there was many lithuanians that come and dislike e+, but as you see some likes it 

so everyone can do that, say to friend at some evenings i play e+, you know what it is ? and one sidenote, people from css, likes railonly gamestyles, and with time tryes other cfg's - so if people like shoters maybe they discover e+ as a new place for them too, but fact is if u bring that friend u must take care off him too ; thats how we live, i liek come to server and se frinedly people, or say some that likes then i come to server and etc, then game is something more, not only that stupid bare cfg with pluses and minuses
