tnx guys Happy Khaz & Maja, I will use a certain part of Naruto's plot to explain it in a simple way :
In Naruto(the most famous manga in the past 10 years or so), the main characters are ninjas, or shinobi(one of them is Hatake Kakashi, my in-game name). The shinobi are ranked in accordance to the next scale :

1. Genin - the lowest level of ninja and also the ones that display the most difference in power.

2. Chuunin - ninja who are qualified to watch over and guide other ninja.

3. Jounin are generally highly-experienced ninja with great individual skill who serve as military captains.

So, before I joined the clan, I was Genin. Joining the [ERA] (which is subdivision in ELITE'Z) made me a Chuunin, and now, being an Elite'z full member means I am a full-ranked Jounin(or Johnin, or Jonin).
Oh, and in case you wonder - yes, I am crazy Happy
