earthquake is a bad move for him.

thats why you should always have a dugtrio with dig and earthquake, a deadly combo

Back on topic (lol)

Venusaur needs an >attack< (not sp. attack) move to have a chance against pokes that have resistances against SB (Crobat, Weezing etc), and just so it happens that EQ is one of the most powerful moves around, 100 hit and 100 acc is not something to get your kicks on.

Duggie with dig? lol, that move is crap!

Dugtrio is supposed to be a counter poke for electric/fire/grass/flying pokes (thanks to his Arena Trap trait), actually he is quite similiar to Venusaur, but different typing (better) make him somewhat more universal.

razor leaf is one of the best moves because it is always critical. resistance to grass? who cares? its critical! always!

probably reason why i always have slash on charizard.

oh and if you wonder, yes i have a non special move on my venosaur, body slam. kick ass move.

but, my favourite poke tactic is with my fearow, first fly, then someone like you does an earthquake. fearow isnt there, miss. them mirror move, and WHAM you get your own move in your face (cause fearow is fast so it often gets 2 moves in a row).

hm, any online poke arenas? lets see whose pokemon will kick whos ass

Heh, first of all i don't know what kind of noob would use a ground move on a flying poke (flying type=immunity to ground moves, duh).

Second of all, true, Fearow is fast, but all his OTHER base stats are crap.
And Fly isn't worth a damn... check this out: you use Fly. I switch a poke with TB (say, Magneton). You hit me with fly. Because your poke is faster, you have one more move to make. you hit me with "whatever", take some of my life. I OHKO you with TB. MMM, FRIED CHICKEN YUMMY

Third, Slash on Charizard o.O O.O -.-'

Fourth, Razor leaf and Slash aren't always critical, they do have a higher than average chance to score one, but there isn't a single move in the game that causes a critical with each hit. And, even tough they both are decent moves, there still are far better alternatives.

As to online arenas... i did play on the mirc bots 2 years ago, but i think they're long since gone, now. I aren't aware of any other means to play pokes online

hm are we talking bout same game? i cant remember once that razor leaf wasnt a critical...

and ye i know nobody would do an earthquake on fearow, but some other strong moves... like your crispy chicken. wich would miss and then hit you in the head.

TB (thunderbolt) dosen't miss while a poke is on Fly, same as Surf dosen't miss while a poke is on Dig.

And i'm quite certain that Slash and Razor Leaf don't always score crits. Not in any pokemon version i was playing (which is pretty much all from red/green/blue to fire red/leaf green). Maybe you have Pokemon: Cheese edition or smt
