EVENT: March Madness FragFest

TIME: 9:00 PM (21:00) EST until the last person turns off the lights.

ABOUT:

A multi-game type and multi-game config FragFest.

FEATURES:

Four (4) game types to be played over a selection of 4 FT maps, 2 CTF maps, and 4 TDM maps.

Five (5) game configurations that range from n00b to Pr0 (plus, m0ve, nwc+, deexslds, and e5r).

Neither CTF map will be normal CTF. Q3CTF2 will be played under Return the Flag rules. Q3CTF3 will be played under One Flag CTF rules.

A total of ten (10) common maps. No one should need to download any of them. These maps will be the only maps in rotation that night. DHF will revert to its normal map rotation on Saturday morning.

Sixty seconds warm-up per map to allow the Captains time to rotate 3 players per side.

Timelimit: Ten (10) minutes per map.

Fraglimit: FT (15), CTF (, and TDM (200).

ATTENDANCE:

Simply show up. This is a first come first served event that will loop for as long as players want.

I need four volunteers (in advance) to Co-Captain the Red and Blue Teams. Captains must be knowledgeable of the MatchMode commands.

Captains will start the FragFest, on the event night, by each side picking a player until all players have been picked. There will be ten (10) players per side. The Captains on each side will decide which 7 players to put into each map. Three players per side will spectate. No player may sit out for more than 1 consecutive map.

WHY:

There are a lot of falsely inflated egos out there. This is an event to separate the pretenders from the truly versatile. If you can sit at the top
of the scoreboard at the end of each map over the course of these game types and game configs then you are truly a Master of the Eternal Arena.

Return the Flag (RTF)

RTF is more difficult than regular Capture the Flag but it is also a better team game. The difference is that you have to carry your own flag back to your base.

Be aware of double flag carriers, they can be your best friends but also your worst enemies.

One Flag CTF (1FCTF)

In 1FCTF, you have to pickup the Neutral Flag (White Flag) in the middle of a map and try to get to the enemy's base to score a point.

Don't forget that it's the enemy's base and therefore well protected! You may stand a better chance of winning if most of your team goes on offense.
