Eh? Proof? U have so little space and dont feel lags? I feel it as soon as MFT gets fragmented, and it gets fragmented when free space frops below 20%.
Or u have fat32.. Btw only 150 GB for quake III? Tongue

I guess your fast pc compensates for it,but beelieve me,I can feel the lags on my pc (xp 1.7 GHz,512 MB RAM,geforce 4),more precisely, its fps drops to 30-40 fps for like 10 seconds.

Ill have to remmember to test this when I get a new pc,Ill waste all hdd space on purpose and see if I can still feel the lags.

oke with pb on i might agree, but with pb off i dont see any reason for lags. I can recognize lag cuz my connetion is not "the best" but i dont have any fps drops for sure, rest i think i should blame connection.

For me PB has no effect,on or off if I have very low hdd space I will have these occasional lags which can be very annoying. But my pc is much slower then yours (that will hopefully change soon Tongue )
