Logitech mx510 optical mouse

I have a question. I use a logitech mx510 optical mouse to play quake e+. But somehow i can not use all of the 8 buttons on it. only 4. the other are not recogniced if i want to configure them.
Does anyone know if i still can use them? I use win xp and use the original logitech drivers.
