SB Live Platinum card did the same exact thing to me, also did final update of my gfx chip (Intel, LOL), so I'm stuck on outdated drivers for both. Small price to pay for actually being able to play a game Laughing

with my intel gfx chip (Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD@laptop) i can play q3 in 640x480 only. qlive works with same res plus huge fpsloss only. any other game is stuttering like hell and im sure its only the intel gfx, cuz the other components are pretty good.
So my question is, is it impossible to play games with this gfx chip or am i doing anything wrong?

I just got this and dont really know what to do with it:

Deinstall the programm or device, which is using this driver, and check the publisher's website to obtain a digitally signed driver.

Well, actually intel gfx-cards are definitly not made for games. Usually it is impossible to play games on it, expect older or very old games.

Even a old nvidia 440 mx has more power as the most up to date intel cards.

thats what i heard till now Confused too bad i didnt pay attention while buying the laptop (it was rated very good on a few sites). Is it the lack of OpenGL support or is it generally bad?
and also, does it affect hardware-hungry programs like photoshop and premiere pro as well (well, i guess so, my photoshop is stuttering at high resolutions pics too) or do they somehow work better than games with intel gfx (whyever)?

Mow has it right. The only reason I haven't gotten something better is because real-life problems always come in at last minute when I have spare cash Thinking And it's somewhat playable at r_picmip 11 so I can't complain for now Tongue Intel onboard graphics are about the worst thing we could have, but it's better than nothing! Laughing

Anyway, "nicht signierten Treiber" usually means 3rd-party software. So somewhere, somehow, this program is trying to install a 3rd-party software "update" for Everest, a security program on your system. Or it could be some kind of system monitoring tool called Everest, I don't know which

Look under your motherboard or geräte settings and see if there isn't some device there bringing up Everest. It may be part of a software package that came with a mobo or PCI device you bought...? Thinking

at which resolution? my q3 crashes if i use higher than 640x480, it runs smooth too at high picmip which i usually use anyways. if i could play with lets say 800x600 or even 1024x768 i would be pretty content, but 640x480 is hard to bare for me Winking

exactly... so its not the gpu which demands for a driver?^^ thats what i wanted to know.

thx mow and necro for the fast answer

I can run 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768... but above 640x480 it's terrible. I haven't tried higher than 1024x768 cause I have Intel onboard gfx like your laptop Smug But I don't get a crash, just <30fps chop, graphic remnants, r_speed fluctuation, etc.

Oooh, no, Everest should have nothing to do with the graphics software. It's separate software for either security of system monitor tools of some kind (not hardware-related, but probably software that came as "bonus" with some piece of hardware you got?).

i rly wonder about the crash, but well, if it doesnt run well in higher res i guess it doesnt matter anyways...
everest is a freeware system monitor tool which i downloaded because i wanted easy and precise access to driver abilities and stuff as i installed vista 64 on my laptop (had to install every single driver manually because they only sent drivers for vista 32 with the laptop...). if it has nothing to do with the gpu ill just leave it as it is.

FYI guys. i945 extreme onboard vga adapter for example is enough for smooth play quake with r_mode 6 high details and up to 86fps . So stop giving a bullshit, just learn into intel OpenGL mode (what? u forgot to install intel drivers?) and switch over your game copy from SW rendering mode (ooops? ever heard of game options?) otherwise fix yo windows due to it lost its bundled OGL dll's and stop drain brains forum ppl such type shitty probs.

excuse me madam, but i can see tfts at 60 hz unsmooth and crts unsmooth on anything below 85 hz, same goes for com_maxfps below 100.

Try to disable sync to every frame in drivers coz its results in prerendering limit and leads to unsmooth in play
