Yeah I'm UUUUUBER newbie over here and I can't get this to work...if there is somewhere that will walk me through it I can't find it...don't hate me! Tongue

Help with Qconnect..

Well if you installed excessive plus, the program must be there :

C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus\tools\

(your main Q3 folder, X+ mod folder, tools Big grin )

OK when i goto that server list tho and hit PLAY NOW it isn't working it says q3a is not a registered protocol or somehting...!?

What server? Maybe you joined an Excessive server running 1.30 and you couldn't join because you do not have the same Q3 version.

I have the latest q3 and e+...

Yeah the exact message is 'q3a is not a registered protocol' .. could this be becuase I'm trying to launch it through firefox?

OK I went ahead and tried it in explorer and I didn't get the same error message instead it went to the 'this page does not load' error and this was displayed as the net adress: q3a://69.57.151.114:27960/

Oh god i'm so stupid I gave you wrong instructions! i'm so sorry...!

what you have to do is to download Qconnect from here : http://www.excessiveplus.net/~easy/Qconnect.exe

then place it wherever you want, launch it and follow the directions

No I didn't have the program already, but after I dld'd it I forgot to launch it LOL. Thanks man, shit works great!
