I have the same problem with my MX518. It keeps on fireing. I tried lower the USB polling rate to 500 Hz from 1000 Hz but it dident help.

I made a little pack for all you mouse tweakers. Its a app to change the polling rate of the USB port. Also included a program to read the current rates and the classig no mouseacc .reg file.

[OBS] Change the rates of the USB port at your own risk. It might fuck your PC up. Heard of ppl who fried their mouse or even killed the USB. [/OBS]

I faud where is prob. I have new drivers for USB ports on motherboard & all is good:)
