First, i would like to say hello to everyone - my first post! Big grin

I seem to have a problem with editing my q3config.cfg file.

I made myself a nick with Qname.exe:
^x7DFF11ˆ^7…^x7DFF11^fř^s^x7DFF11ôă^7…^x7DFF11Ť

The problem, i think, are charachters like: Ťôăř

How do i insert them into the .cfg file without getting changed.
Notepad uses default charachter coding ANSI, which replaces them with: ?
If i set the charachter codind to Unicode before saving it saves these letters, but the .cfg file doesnt work anymore.
Same problem with wordpad.

My question:
How do i insert the above nickname into the .cfg file without it getting changet because of some weird charachters in it?

This has really been frustrating me...

Thanks in advance for any advice,
xtc

That changes

^x7DFF11ˆ^7…^x7DFF11^fř^s^x7DFF11ôă^7…^x7DFF11Ť

to

^x7DFF11?^7…^x7DFF11^f?^s^x7DFF11ô?^7…^x7DFF11?

which then doesnt work. How did you get your IN fonts? Could i see your nick code please.

Hm, when i copy it into Qname it changes it to this:

^x7DFF11ˆ^7…^x7DFF11^fr(^s^x7DFF11ôa(^7…^x7DFF11T(

So it doesn't seem to recognize some of the characters..might want to try it with Qname again.

Copy it. Save it. Close worldpad and reopen it. Then look at the string.
