ontopic: what for is this thread?..any vid planed or something? if yes..its better to clear what style of music....metal, techno, drum and bass would fit to a quakemovie in a good combination...hip hop and all this minimal and emo stuff don't for me......so....oh noes i droped my fag (cig) on the keyboard......one point: at least i saw 5 quake / cs vids where are tracks of pendulum or prodigy running......don't come up with chemical brothers now Big grin

Hm... Theatre of Tragedy would be an interesting pick, Crac, especially something from Aegis or Velvet Darkness They Fear...

btw, every Quake movie known to man has either a techno/electronic soundtrack or a hip-hop soundtrack. Do we want the E+ movie to be a "textbook" Quake movie or have something different, ffs? (rhetoric)

I mean, it is going to be a long movie. There should be some diversity, not an hour of 808 kick drums, synth strings and SH-101 basslines. Laughing

in case you wonder all the best movies that have been made lately and are being made now have their own mixes.

and the mixes are done parallel to the movie, and changed to fit the movie better, and the movie is changed all the time to fit the mix better.

anyway a good frag movie music has to have ups and downs, flows and chops, to allow for many different fragging styles.

and by good music i don't mean Nightwish. Tongue

my frag movie will feature a semi-mix from several dnb live sets, nice atmosphere for start and heavy beats for frags.

Disturbed is over used, unfortunatly. Same as, lets say, Prodigy.

Best option is to use less known but quality songs.

Unfortunately true.

Yeah, everybody's deciding what to use for final touches when we don't even have the basic package. Let's wait for the movie, and either let the moviemakers decide or reopen the topic.
