Imo faking is ok. I still recognize all my online friends, cause i know their gamestyles, and/or common fake nicks.

Also if, on the server, there are people playing with real nick that i know, i always change to my real nick.

I almost completely played without sound since sempteber 2005, and i never use foksie@nosound foksie@mp3 or any simmilar stuff. I dont care about it at all, frankly. I do use foksie_drunk etc when im drunk or etc, not cause of my game (wich is usualy better) then because i make trully distrurbing typos all the time

In short, if someone wants to fake, let him fake. If he doesnt, he doesnt.

And lastly, faking is fun. Especialy when doing it in team (like me and xab do as Kuma and Panda)

Sry, i dont run through city with the same shirt the whole time (member of xyz-company), or "employee of the month" shirt or whatever.

i barely fake my name (2-3 times a month when i have really enough form all that chatting).

I dont care it really (not always) if persons use other nicks, and i dont c a 2!S-rule which dont allow my members to use other nick-styles "example firefox@foxtrot" wouldnt bother me.

freedom of speech, counts also with usernames.

you should see it as a compliment if somebody is showing him beating you in a movie or on a screenshot.
it shows that he is proud beating a good player.

in general i dont have a problem with fakenicks.
i also used fakenicks almost everytime i played on servers,
but the most people knew nevertheless who i am.
if somebody wanted to know who i am he could just ask.
and i didnt care if somebody was using a fakenick (at least as long as i didnt lose ).
if somebody wants to use a fakenick he probably has his reasons to do it.
