Do You use original tag when You not play with clan ?
I dunno, to each their own, I guess. What I don't understand, however, is the @mp3 thing in nicks. When I play on public servers (FFA etc) , I'm almost always listening to music. The only times I turn it off is maybe for a 1on1. I guess people think that if they point out that they aren't using their full senses, they have an excuse for not being teh uberpwn0rer or something like that and that they would normally totally rock. So does this make me the better player if I score more frags than someone who isn't listening to music at the moment that I am? Nope, sounds silly and it is. Strange ego thing...

I voted for the clan tag & addons coz i sometimes used "@warmup" next to my name. As long as i was DA i never hided myself behind a fake nick, be me play shitty or extraordinary. The whole fakenicking biz started when i left, but that's another story

Do You use original tag when You not play with clan ?
i like to play with faked nick.. :} [not very often but i do it sometimes] its so funny and entertainig to see how ppl act when they dont know ur real nick..
ie. lately ive played underfake nick on 1v1 viking, its funny:
real tag > my opponents act like
oponent: man u rock, u got awesome skill, i <3 ur style ect...
faked nick [in this case "fucking_setpoint_drv"]
oponent: fck u mofo, ur a lil camping noob, u dload skillz
its a good way to see, what ppl realy think bout u.. sometimes its harsh.. but imo better to hear it from those whiners, than later to be disapoined coz ur "internet friend' wasnt a "friend' after all..
anywayz i also use fake nick to relax.. i dont care what ppl think,, most of them say "i play q3 for fun" whats the difference to get ur ass whoped by some1 u know, and some1 u dont?!

But we badly wanna real tags for obvious reasons. We can help newbees if we wonna growing comunity, we obviously wanna to. Everyone of us have personality known others and aloso clan personality.
For example: when I start to play E+ I saw alot things when respected people not on server. Bad language, cheating, spaming console, calling a names voice spamming.
When I become EVOL and EVOL mean sometging in E+ I saw that behaviour rearly, why ? You all know answers. Alot times with talking now I can make some people to be polite and reasonable... In some cases I must disconnect because I do not have rcon... What about NICK@warmup ? NICK@SENS, NICK@nosound... etc.
Whats that mean ? Now I not represetive clan... I can behive diferent, only ppl who know in wich clan I am can maybe speak with clanleader about my bad behaviour... etc. Whats meant letters behinde nick or @. Mean nothing. I saw people all day long play with NICK@warmup ?!?! OMG?!! Stoned etc... But for me that is acceptable, why because I mostly know who is who and what clan each nick belonge... For newbees is bether with clanprefix.

i see 2 arguments missing to play with a fakenick.
first one is the screenshots, many noobs show others there screens and say, look i beat this "pro".
and second, which happend to me is the moviemakers. once i was kinda tired and played on a 1vs1 server and some retard made a movie of beating me and put the movie on e+ forum with some more crap in it.
since then i never ever played with original tag again if i was not in full shape.
and i will continue to do so.

bert made some fine points, u can see me in two movies over this forum, in one im fakenicking but author of this movie maked a movie and he distroy mine cover withnout iven asking me, on second one some dude has fine frags with rl, i played there to aim his rocked with mine body couse that person was aimles, and i have there good fun, but both moves is about how to pown hq
what bert wana say is if u r good player u become target to "p0wn" by half of the comunity and its damn anoying, so thats why
faith made aslo very good poins that behavior of ppl change when they see tag and im like to know for real ppl not thier bulid "image", so thats why
also if they dont se administrator on server some ppl act badly couse they think nobody will do nothing with that and im there to suprise them a bit, so thats why

Somebody remmeber second hards fragmovie? 75% action were with fakenick ppl:> But hard must wrote this is xxx, and yyyy but they played on fakenick. But Why they use fakenicks? Cuz after work i wanna relax, not play 100% but just 4 fun.
I hate when some1 wrote "i beat xxx" - but do u play in cap vs him? Show me ur skill in real hard game. In cap, cw. For me is lame behavior when some1 said i won vs xxx. Show ur frags, skill, movment not only i beat XXX!! I dont have respect for that guys who think "i beat xx" so they think "im master". Maybe for idiots they r masters but for skill ppls they r only lamermasters.

@HQ and BERT: People I know that You are great players and so far I know You very good people. But I cannot agree with You about mather. Why, simple reason. I think that I dimension all relative things about tags. What is so important when somone post screens arround where You lose ? Big deal, You are only humans and can lose. All people who know You and class players know how good are You and that is only mather.
It is like real life. For example You will be hurt badly only if hurt You somone who You love or respect.
Another thing is that is old rule most old and respect clans is: Must play always with original TAG. It is verry good rule. And have obvious reasons for that !
What is funniest, clanleaders do not obey own rulles.

What for we use clans, tags, forum, MSN, IRC.... ? We can be freelancers all with random nicks, but we dont ? Some good freelancers in E+, but they have unique nicknames.
We wanna something beyond a game, we wanna frindship. We wanna maners and good begaviour. because of that we have tags, clans, internet friendhip.
What we do, put mask on a face and fooling arround, we are unrecognisible. We can do whatever we wanna do....
What is the worst part, I feel lonly when I play, I play with bunch of strangers. Even worse, I play with known people, but they seem to me like bunch of strangers...
What a pitty.
