Those who have some nVidia GeForce card in computer can in new drivers find new option - Stereoscopic 3D. This function gives new dimension to your d3d games. No 120hz monitor is needed. No new graphic card is needed. All what you need are newest gfx drivers, stereoscopic glasses (from paper with one "glass" red and second blue) and you can enjoy 3d playing. Its compatible with older games so its not function just for future games. You can also play in 3D CS:Source, R6:Ravenshield, COD:Modern warface and many other games.

sometimes i play 3d q3 no glasses needed only cross-eyed ofc on pb off/pure off servers and also can watch demos 3d. i use ioquake modified by me to change only the exe so can be used on any mod that didnt changed the exe (its only for fun and testings, no i didnt released it)

anyway thanks for the new drivers + stereoscopic advice. I will surely try it !

that fake 3d is very old, it already was added in serius sam second encounter.

my friend uses it, but for me, its annoying, it fucks the eyes if u do it for more then a hour.

sure but now is this function integrated to the drivers so every d3d game (old, new) can be played in stereoscopic 3d. It can be reason for play some games again. BTW i thought that this function doesnt affect FPS but NFS Shift with enabled 3D is unplayable for me in stereoscopic mode.

If you dont want to fuck your eyes you have to make a calibration.

i will never be able to use this feature since the muscles on my right eye are much weaker than the muscles on my left. I am a crossed eye nerd when i dont wear my glasses for more than

for you Impius you can try only anaglyp types of glasses + maybe contact lens?

anyway in some time the no-glasses 3d tv like this (2009 prototype), this or this (2010 prototype) will appear on the market ! now only some prototypes are available and the tech. is a bit primitive..

but some ppl like it

yeah it will affect the FPS cause the gfx has to render 2 images instead of 1 for each original frame .. so depending on the gfx extended plugins, memories, cpu, fsbs (i recomend locking agp/fsb but only for OCrs ) is using you can have a loss in final frames.
