i wasnt very convinced by the demos either (especially since in 1 hes basically getting raped by urs truly). so imo the demos dont prove shit anyway. altho i do have to say he does some very weird things. like aiming at locations that make no sense whatsoever. but still that doesnt prove anything does it?

that pblog is another thing tho. i dont really know what it means so gonna leave it to somebody more knowledgable to comment on what it means.

Well the size of the opengl.dll is correct, so only thing that comes to mind is that it failed the checksum, probably cause he has some sort of modification in his opengl.dll.

That could probably be anything, from a custom framerate speed up, to a potential wallhack.

mr willy has a violent jerky style eh Big grin. a few of those shots looked really snappy so it was worth posting the demos info for others to see.
I noticed that they were playing Newgods.cfg which has a huge hitbox anyway. but that pb kick is suspect

This is how the opengl32.dll hack looks like in CS. It has same effect in Q3. So, imo, ban.

there is no reason for him to have the file hacked up.

I leave you to decide whether you can trust players found having invalided OpenGL32.dll files. Yes they could just be a case of invalided driver patches or then again they could be a found of cheat. We may never know the full story but like I aways say "Don't be fooled into over tweaking your drivers, just stick to what works & get on a play the game fair".

Few moments (especially at the beginning of the first demo) could possibly indicate a wallhack. Of course, it's not hard to predict on small maps, but still... add that hacked .dll to the equation, and it makes you think real hard. Still, is all this enough to ban him? I still have my doubts. Confused

The .dll thing is troublesome considering how previously f.e the Panic thing was handled.

I'll check the demos when I get home because for several reasons this player has had my attention since the very first time I saw him play...

Problem with demos of this guy is his enormous ping (atleast every single time I've seen him) which makes spectating and demos so "off" that if anyone COULD (this is not an accusation) get away with autofire or a well used bot, that's the best way.

I of course don't take this as a negative point in itself though as it just can't be helped sometimes, as with Term and others living far from most servers.

If anyone knows though; why does he always leave and come back when maps switch? (At least he has done every time I've played with him in public.) It's not a reconnect either, he leaves and comes back a bit after the next map started. Without a well-known problem or bug this is one of the things that has you come up with all kinds of theories as to why one would do that...

Personally, i think simple heuristics should be used when cheaters are concerned. If enough things add up, ban.

Lets see what we have sofar:

Odd demos.
Reconnects after each map.
Busted for a hacked opengl32.dll

Is it enough?

i would vote F1

Its very annoying that I still see previously busted cheaters playing/playing in new clans..
