When i have laptop screen i can in ATI Catalyst set option that games will be in square - fullscreen but square (with black rest on not used wide sides)
When i plug in monitor i cannot use this option and can play just wide fullscreen .

ehh ya... i dont think that this is possible or i just know to less about wide screens on pc since i dont even got one Tongue

as you said that cropping is a setting of the graphic drivers...

if you set q3 to square but have in your driver settings "scaling" activated, it wont help you. Just disable "scale" (at least that is what it is called within my nvidia... but I remember ati being kinda similar).
but that totally sux... you have a 22" and cropped it suddenly is not even 19".

And thats the point...he find his screen too big since he used to play on 15" so far and he dont have place to but monitor further from him Happy

Ok i will try to acclimate with this huge screen. And it's 20', not 22 Winking

I've founded 4:3 option in my lcd.
Screen isnt perfect on resolution 1400x1050 ,bu it's best what i can do i think.
