Capslock + numlock keys make my screen go dark

This is another problem I have. I started own thread for it.

When I'm playing and push accidentally capslock or numlock keys, my screen goes really dark. I can't see much when this happens and I have to do vid_restart. Also sometimes when I start to play and move my mouse when the Quake is loading, the screen goes really dark too. It feels like the screen brightness which I use for game is turning off somehow and the normal screen brightness which I use when I'm not playing is turning on.

Is there any solution to this? This is very annoying especially when I'm playing 1v1 and suddenly I can't see anything.

Thank you for help.

i have the same card as you, and i find that a simple brightness bind does the trick whenever anything in windows happens whilst im playing (it always makes the game dark)

bind F6 "r_gamma 2; wait 2; r_gamma 1.5; echo ^3Normal Brightness: ^1RESTORED."

i dont know what the numlock keys are set to for you: but try to see that your keyboard doesnt have a function lock or something turned on that activates something in windows, it could be what is causing it.
