cant open q3 on mac

it us a big problem so i downloaded q3 for mac from this server but it dosent work i can open it and it says that the program is closed by the unknown reason.... what to do i have macbook on intel core 2 duo maybe some pach o some alse7 version of mac osx 10.4.9

Hello. I'm guessing your problem isnt to run Q3 baseq itself, it's to make the mod Excessiveplus run properly!?

My original thread is applicable on the old generation macintoshes that uses IBM processors, like g3-, g4- and g5-ones.

However the solution with 1.32b version doesnt seem to work on the new generation intel macs. I have helped another intelmac user with this before, but forgot how to make it work. I'm not entierly sure, but I think is was to install the latest patch (1.32c) and change the varibles of vm_cgame, vm_game and vm_ui.

I can check if this is correct next week when I get my hands on an intel mac.

If your problem is to run q3 itself, the solution is mentioned in the second link of riku. (link again Tongue). Download setpoint 1.32 and install (Don't forgett punkbuster while you're at it.), then copy the pak0.pk3 from your q3 cd into your quake3/baseq/ folder.

i downlod 1.32c for mac and when i try to open quale 3 ub it writes that it cant find default.cfg but i download and put it in the base3q very strange/// my q3 folder is 36.... mb it is normal Thinking:

put the pak0.pk3 (around 468 mb) into ur baseq3 folder.

hello...i think i can help u...i`m a mac user to..and i managed to set q3 to play on e+ server...
1) u need the baseq3 and excessiveplus folder from windows patched to 1.32c
2) u nedd this

put everything in a folder on your mac...and happy fragging
