Cant get my Fancy to show up in Quake 3????

I need help.... I made a cool name. But I have no clue as to how I am suppose to get it to load up into Quake 3. Shock

did u use qname to make it?

if yes. then copy the name out of qname, open up ur q3config and find the line that reads seta name "blah" and replace the part in quotes with what u copied out of qname.

alternatively, just open up console in q3 and type /seta name and copy the name in there.

If you wanna have more names, make a name in Qname, copy and paste it in Noteblock or what u call it.. Tongue

Example: seta name "^2YouR ^1NamE"
It'll be YouR NamE

But its' many other colours in Qname though.. Tongue

Remember to save the name as "yourname.cfg" and put it in excessiveplus folder

1. Use Wordpad, not Notepad
2. Save the name into a file (blabla.txt, gggg.cfg or whatever) in the format

[code:1]name "your name code here"[/code:1]

3. in q3, open console and type

\bind <some> exec blabla.txt (or whatever)

voila!

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!
