Cant figure out where those fu**ing lags come from

LoL. For me too many processes are runing on your pc When i am playing there is only 21 processes(os processes.setpoint,cfosspeed). Try to find in google how to tune your system. Or just reinstall windows

Ok, i reinstalled vista, no updates installed or any programs, quake only and i open quake without connecting to server, i get 100% on both cores, i add mod, same...

So... it is not too many processes or pb services, because i run quake normal before with 80 procs and now with 55 same shit...

Moving back to xp tonight, i didn't play quake normal over 2 weeks, lol...

tara, he does use xp not vista, otherwise i would have already posted a link to my older thread about probs of vista+dualcore+q3-on-pb

anyway, if u have this lag all 2-3 seconds (even on startmenue), just look at my last post in this thread:

nhancer emulates singlecore for q3 under vista. (it works also for xp, i had there sometimes lags too since my dual core, but since i made it like i discribed there, i didnt had it anymore)

ok, it might be latest ati graphics driver also as i got new one recently... but i don't got old one anymore

i'll try to get older version and see

Yep he has nvidia... but i fixed my problem now it seems when i put older ati drivers, not completly fixed as cpu usage is like 80 percent on 1 and 20 on other core, but works well and no lag!

utorrent is a peer to peer downloader.it downloads packets,off and on, every couple of seconds.of course you have to close this when playing q3, otherwise you will experience major lags.
