Bad graphics after hibernate.

After playing or working behind PC I always use hibernate to turn off my computer in order to let it start up faster. After doing so my graphics in quake start to act weird sometimes. A fresh PC restart solves the problem.
My question is: is there a way to simulate a fresh restart of the video drivers? Is there a way to turn them completely off and back on without restarting the whole system?
note 1: I have ATI Radeon (9200 series) video card.
note 2: vid_restart in quake doesn't help at all.

Bad graphics after hibernate.

First, check your windows partition where hiberfil.sys located against bad sectors.
The answer to your qeustion may be try to log off/log on user after coming back fom hibernate.

i think its possible force cleanup video memory. But iam not sure if its option in OS or in graphic drivers (i have experience just with nvidia so iam not sure you can use it on ati also)

I've downloaded that program RivaTuner and it indeed does have that function, I tried it when this error occured again and it didn't work Sad.

Who is the vendor of your card? ASUS ? Or is this ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9200 on ASUS or HP/Compaq laptop? Please let me know
