Unfortunately back in the days when spinach was like "wow man have you tried that new and groovy spinach it tastes like crap...but they say its good for you" ,it was tested for iron content, and indeed it had a seemingly very high amount of iron in it, roughly 6 % ,the highest iron content of any natural food source.

BUT, the white coated man who made the Olive pleasing, Bluto beating discovery, got the decimal point in the wrong place. So in actual fact spinach has roughly 0.6 % ( see the zero IZ ) iron content....about the same as plain pasta

Spinach, you will never be forgiven, cabbage may smell like, well cabbage, but it never lied !!

I don't know what kind of spinach do you eat....but over here in Croatia....our spinach is 100% natural...it's not GMO version or something...we take spinach directly from vegatable garden, not from store and it's not packed....and we eat it as cream sauce together with mashed potatoes...and everyone likes it....
