"Aren't half bad" means the same as "half decent" or "pretty good". I think you will find it was a compliment.

I was, like Frank explained, actually complimenting the guy. I'm not sure why you're being hostile, but maybe you should spend less time being angsty and presumptous and more time on reading into a post. To put it in simpler terms, i'm of the opinion that Infected's designs are reasonably good and you should seriously consider giving him a chance.

ps. Quality is subjective. I'd think a niche mod developer would know better than to make a statement like "it's popular/it sells, therefore it's good".

The term is more slang than anything else. To say "half as bad" would mean as a comparison. But the term "half as bad" would not really be used at all, one would say "not as bad" "A is not as bad as B" as bad can't really be quantified, you are unable to define half of a subjective view point, unless you use as so: "the visit to the dentist wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be" (I think is ok when used in the negative:- wasn't half as bad)

To be honest, I'm bloody confused now, and can tell you that the majority of English have a lower understanding of the composition of the language than those of another mother tongue, who have learned English as a second language. English is renowned to be the hardest language to learn, alongside Chinese, and I see that many here have a good grasp on its structure and usage, this I have to say impresses me, as I have never been able to learn another language, Having tried Italian, French, and German.

To say "Ain't half bad" is really a reserved way of expressing suprise at how good something measures up to your own expectations.

Back OT, please dont make this whole package too much like QL, we have QL already, no need for a carbon copy. What I have always liked about excessiveplus is the fact is is fast and furious, and I think that any changes to the site should reflect the nature of that.

One more OT question, was it excessive/excessiveplus that had the feature that when you picked up quad it gave flight as well? I seem to remember this was a cvar you could set, rather than picking up quad and flight at the same time.
