I consider smoking really stupid.
Why someone has to smoke?Because he wants more troubles in his life?Apart from health issues you have to pay extra money to buy something you are addicted to.
Futhermore there are people like me who smoke passively everyday.It is very irritating when all your friends smoke and sometimes in order to get acceptance from them you also have to smoke.
I prefer to live my life as healthy as I can...I prefer going swimming 3 days per week and get a fit body rather than smoking and not being able to walk the stairs of my house at the age of 40 ;p .I prefer to spend my money to go out with my friends rather than buying packet of cigaretts.

I am smoking passively thanks to my parents since I was a little and I really hate the smell of smoke.Maybe this is one of the main reasons I hate smoking so bad.
EDIT:in case i get misunderstood I do not have problem with smokers..I just think they do something really stupid but whatever...many friends of mine smoke 
The problem is when I breath their smoke or they keep asking me to smoke or else I am not "COOL"

We all make our choices. Yes, there are certainly more healthier ways to spend your money then on cigarettes. Yes, you smell like an ashtray most of the time. Yes, i'll probably won't be here to enjoy the fact that my body is slowly decaying and my mind isn't functioning properly at the age or ~70.
But fuck me if i don't feel *good* when i take a smoke out of the pack, light it up, and take a good, long breath in, then slowly breathe that toxic shit out. Btw, people who smoke because they think it's cool are retarded.

I think the ones who smoke drink take drugs an shit last longer..
I meen my gran she was 89 before she went.
At the weekends she usally drank a bottle of whisky an smoked aound 20 fags a day
Same with my mom she smokes 20 fags a day, still goes out at the weekends & likes a good drink.
She's 65 i think? but she still acts an looks like she's in her 30's.
I know lots of peeps who dont touch a thing an just die.
Best live your life the way you want to.

Life is easier without smoke,or at least is what I believe..
We are all going to die in the end,this is a dead end
What I try to say is that by smoking you put your self in the risk of cancer,you put your fellow people in the risk of cancer (smoking in public) ,you "decay" your body faster,you short your lifespan,you short the amount of money in your pocket and so on... :roll:
These are in my point of view.Everyone is free to do what he wants and noone has the right to tell the others what to do for such issues...
P.S. I do not think that opinions such as "I do not want to become very old " are reasonable :roll:
P.S.2 so far what i have understood about smokers is that you add an extra enjoyment in your life which sounds good.I just think it does not worth the effort

Are you aware of the fact that every time you cross the street you risk being hit by a vehicle? That when you walk right next to a building with windows you risk being hit by something thrown out of them? That you can choke to death by something you are chewing on? Life is a risky game, buddy, and in my humble opinion, smoking isn't very high on the "risky shit to do" counter.
Also, "idle smoking" is a steaming pile of bullshit. You can't get cancer or black lungs from idle smoking, you just don't inhale enough of the smoke if you're not smoking yourself to put your health at risk.
You get more toxic substances pushed down your throat taking a stroll down a busy street.

Maybe you missed it, but i already said that smoking isn't really that much of a risk. The way your logic goes, you should lock yourself up in a basement and get your basic stuff needed for survival delivered to you directly.
What the fuck? You live to get as much good stuff (and yes, smoking is "good stuff" for some people) out of your life, or you live just to... live?

Looking forward to your alzheimer, i see. And hey, i'm not wishing i die young either. But looking at it from a perspective, how does one know he won't be riddled with diseases at a certain age. Getting old isn't fun, dude. Oh, and, the more you live the more experiences you get? What are you, living a life or emulating an rpg game? Haha.
I ain't about to get philosophical on this shit. I do what i do, and i have tons of fun and quality time with a bunch of friends. I'm speeding up the moment of my death? Big deal. I could die any second for a thousand of reasons, thus, i'm packing as much "fun" between the now and the great void beyond.
