I'm a bass guitarist/bongo drum player (only recently have i started playing bongo drums) but i was in 2 metal bands.. i left them both.. for the simple reason..well... they hadn't a clue about music.

so i started doing duo stuff with my mate who is extremely good at guitar.

we called our selves Violently Calm (yes thats where my name originated from)

we play ska/folk/jazz/funk/blues.. what ever.. but he fucked off to norway for college

wow i was in sum bands myself too hehe first i was in some band called Rising Beneath We were a cover band mostly for gay stuff like SlipKnot and Papa Roach Then i created a death/grind band called Vehicular Manslaughter We played a lot like Circle Of Dead Children/Cock And Ball Torture/(early) Incantation/Impaled/etc. Then i got bored with teh whole thing and made a comedy black metal band called Black Cults Ov Nekrosodomy LAWL we only made one song called "Lord Satan's Greasy Cock" Anyways after some failed attempts to create something good i tried out for Full Moon , a power epic band from Cyprus where i got in for a while, played a live with them and then i quit cos they became too epic for my taste My final and best i must say attempt for a band until now was the last one this summer called MEAT We played songs of our own where i wrote most of the lyrics and yes played the drums (oh yeah i played the drums in all of the rest bands as well . We did a live where we played some kind of punk/hardcore and had the time of our lives don't ask for mp3s or something cos lol the only thing i have is pics and vids of all my bands. if someone is really interested i can dig up the net and find the mp3 i did with Black Cults hehe i played the guitar there btw it would be awesome if all of us could meet up and make a band called e-plus or smth

yeah weebl you're my man!! portnoy is really the best drummer out there. hes surely influenced by neil peart and terry bozzio but i think he is better then them. i saw mike live last monday in munich with dream theater and i will be again on their concert on friday:D i really missed a drum solo on the concert, but maybe i'll see it on the next one:)
