was reading about mmx300 and people do say they sound like DT770 and if thats true then the sound quality is superb....

you basically calculate enemy position via standard positions compared to sound loudness and direction - as more the sound loudness differs as better you can orientate yourself.
In the PR 1.16n you can enable a3d audio by command s_a3d_enable and in 1.32 you cant do it and you have only (stereo).
So
there is amount of difference but not as much we could imagine/think.
For example in my motherboard sound realtek chip, i dont feel or feel but little the a3d (seems my motherboard chip is badly)
Eventhough in the sound shop, with fatal1ty soundblaster pro series etc sound card...(forgot the full name of the sound card) it ofc see the clearly difference :] very big difference (at least for me) and if then you add an apm...it will blow ur self 
you can test it out yourself and then see that emulates proper the below and the above sounds aside emulates rooms structures...sad that i dont have now enought money to spend in toys, cos if so i would buy a sound card (cos i dont have any) and some apm for the game, cos it irritates me when the enemy is at 1m of me behind the pilar and i dont even hear him 
(maybe bug of e+ sound no idea)
also the sound direction is gained by measuring two amplitudes (loudness difference) between two ears and the sound aberration...more about the a3d:

I know that the anti noise of that headphones is very nice for sure, about sound its similar in some ways to the dt770
the dt770 are very nice headphones realy nice :]

I found that "holophonics sounds" are really good to test your headphones quality

actually those link just showed me that my headphones have enough room to simulate a real room.
ps: I would still test sound with right left channel tests

I found a Steelseries Siberia v1 in my house, on the top of a wardrobe
. Dunno how I didnt notice it, but it sounds better than my last headphones. I'll use it until buying new headphones from Beyerdynamic, Earsonic or Klipsch.
