VPU Recover - graphics server crash

have big trouble with it. after a short time of playing Q3, Q4, VPU Recover restarting vid server or hang computer with black screen. was trying many solutions but any of them helped. i installed the newest catalyst drivers, motheboard drivers and still no solution ....

there is my cfg - maybe someone can help :-k

overclocked only CPU but not GPU or ram
[CPU is overclocked from the beginning]

agree with WAX. overclocking is your problem.

Overclocking is not necessarily the problem....

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad motherboard. You also might want to check that the Fan on your video card still works, and that your case fans are not caked with dust. Could also be a power supply problem.

good advice, the basic prob is more than likely overheating

Overheating is a menace!
Problem is to prevent...
Wasp.Terminator knows about cooling. Perhaps he has got some tip to share?

Heat didnt want to show off but he is using some mean watercooling machine Tongue Maybe you forgot to turn it on again like it happened the other day ? Tongue

Anyway it must be overHEATed if it happened to him :twisted:

this might sound stupid, but it sounds like the same problem my dad had when he played q4/q3...have u tryed installin the 2nd from latest graphics driver???

he had a radeon too Tongue

i installed catalyst driver 5-10_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_27256.exe and trouble started ...
now im using old driver anyway it didnt helped too

i dont think its overHEATed, my cover is always open

Uninstall ALL the old drivers for your graphic card then install fresh clean drivers.
