@Rena yes I remember those times, miss them aswell. Wax has had a baby so hes busy with his new family

@Oska as I said we had 4 inches other parts have had up to 1 foot of snow. We dont have bad winters, so when 1 does hit we are not used to coping with it, this was the worst snowfall we have had in 18 years, I am sure if we had winters like Norway or Sweden we would be coping fine

@Terror, there is a pond less than 3 foot to the left of that pond which is larger and that was frozen thats why all the ducks were in that side and also there is more cover for them in that small pond, and because its small they have less chance of it freezing over

@Titan and @Rage I used to live in the North of England and I can remember bad winters and also hearing the stories of the snow so bad that when my parents opened the door the snow fell in the door. and the times when they had to literally get the shovell and dig from the front door to the gate to get out. The winters were bad and long, I miss those times when the seasons were clearly defined the day before we had the snow I actually saw ducks doing thier courtship routines aswell as pigeons and Blackbirds. No doubt thier young will not survive
