i once give my beyerdynamic 770pro for speakers replacement, withe new speakers they haven't sounded same good as before
if its only about foam then do it 
and tell if the bass got deeper now :}

looks interesting, but I am not sure in the final result. better stay like it is or buy another one 555 before if something goes wrong

bass doesn't go deeper, but it gets way less blurry and way more clear.
just did it one side for test, would recommend to do it on all 555's.
Remember, most bass comes from the sound card, not from the phones, as more linear, as better mostly.
edit: time needed for modding ~ 30 min.

both sides, i started doing this mod after i watched the youtube thingy.
edit: btw, also realised that the speakers weren't in right position also after using them for such a long time 
sound is awesome now
