[Resolved]quake on laptop

jo ! i installed quake on laptop but when i maximize it i still got
black strips on left and on right (no full screen). what could be the
problem ? and when i try to raise the resolution i get this blue
startscreen of quake showing me some error and the the game already
turned off.

tried all resolutions till it broke down always same problem

all resolutions in quake3 are 4:3 or 5:4

use r_mode -1, r_customwidth and r_customheight, set it to your laptops native.
