Ok, let's stop discussing about the point of removing it. If people want to remove it, and there is a possibility in the config to do it, then let them remove it and get over with it. I really don't see any point in a discussion. :-k

/cg_draw2d 0
Will remove it, along with just about every other miscellaneous thing on the screen, such as the score indicator, the "You Fragged ..." and "Following ..." messages.

pls read whole posts and not only topic, this was sayed more times but he wanted too know if he can turn it of without no drawing of 2d

I did read the whole thread, this is the only command which will turn it off.

i hope this is what you mean....
cg_draw2D "1"
toggle the drawing of 2D items or text on the status display
cg_draw3dIcons "0"
toggle the drawing of 3D icons on the HUD off and on draw 2D icon for ammo if cg_draw3dicons 0
cg_drawIcons "0"
toggle the drawing of any icons on the HUD and scoreboard
these settings suit me and give me screenshot as such....

no this does not help. if you switch the weapon this weapon bar appears. it seems like cg_draw2d 0 is the only way to prevent this.
nevertheless thx for answers.

hmm yes i knew this command already. the main problem is, that it removes the crosshair. now i painted a dot on my monitor, so i can play with cg_draw2d 0
. its great. even the lightening gun effect is removed. now my cfg is perfect 
.
