Recording Software... Fraps/?

Does anyone know of any good screen capturing software other than Fraps? Freeware preferably... I am trying to make a movie out of Flight Simulator 2004.

I can't record the desktop sound with Camtasia... Won't let me. I selected "Speakers" for Audio Input, bah

game cam or gamecam Happy Its recording to avi, but directly with encoding to DivX or Xvid. Its harder for processor but you dont need so many space on HDD

maybe look in smorgars gibbed movie threat? they were discussin there abut best record
