Quake multiplayer problems

Hi,

I ve searched the internet for a while, but i dont see any solutions to my problem.
I get a well known error: "No response from master server".
I have my Quake patched to latest 1.32 version.
I sometimes get this message, but now i m having this problem for 2 days.
The master server is not down i guess, because my friends play with no problems.
I wonder if anyone has the same problem...As i said i could only find lamer solutions like: Keep refreshing or Patch your game.
