q3 from ASE

when i start q3 from allseeing eye everything works fine except that the the mouse pointer isnt in q3, its still in windows.

it doesnt work with "start quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus"

i must start quake3.exe manually and then load e+ and then connect to servers..i want to connect from ASE, what is the problem!?

It started when i execed my cfg couple of days ago.

No idea hard,ASE works fine here,no problems when joining,also the method of .exe +set fs_game excessiveplus...both work good but if u want u can freely send ur cfg to me and I'll take a look at what could be wrong ;]

As Skull said, clicking once should get you right back in Q3. This happens when some other program steals priority from Q3, usually, messengers. Make sure they're closed or at least minimized. If you're running some media player, minimize it too. Also, while in ASE, press f2, go to events tab, and check "minimize window".

It doesnt seems to be a matter with ASE cause i get the same problem when loading from a bat file with "start quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus"

might be a cfg matter (ratz: thx but no thx Laughing )
but isnt starting quake3.exe and load e+ mod same as the cmd above.

damn cfg Happy, maybe i could reinstall e+. awww

if it's a problem related to ASE, try closing ASE right after you hit the 'connect' button. This should minimise any of the priority problems mentioned above Happy If not...then you'll have to just copy the IP from spider, like i do, lazy ass Laughing

what do you mean by clicking? is it something you do one the thing with buttons and a cable?

I had same problem when I was starting q3 like "start quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus". The problem was with in_mouse... it was changing to 0 every time I was starting q3 then the pointer was still in windows.
Try to check your in_mouse after u start your q3.
