Okay, so... When I try to join to a server, where the PB is enabled, my computer just crashes and I really don't know, why. Quake doesn't say any error message. The game just stops. Here's a shot, I dunno if it helps in anything... I connected to the server, but the whole game just froze down. What am I supposed to do? I really need to fix this, pls, someone help me.

töröld le az egészet pbt is aztán tedd fel újra és olyan pbt telepíts hozzá ami biztos jó. Cfgdet mentsd le. Ha nem működik úgy sem akkor a cfgben van valami csinálj újat. /translation: delete your cheats

Hey.

I have no idea why is this happening but I can give you some general tips that might be helpful:

1. Run Quake as an administrator,
2. In case if you're already running Quake as an administrator, run it not as an administrator,
3. Run your Quake in another compatibility mode [I'd suggest you running in windows xp compatibility but I see you already has win xp :> ],
4. Check out your firewall, make sure everything is disabled and your pnkbstrA and pnkbstrB are marked as an exception,
5. Make sure your antivirus doesn't "co-operate" with punkbuster, try to cancel any connections on the line AntiVirus>PunkBuster,
6. Make sure your PunkBuster is installed correctly, click here,
7. Make sure your Quake is installed propely [or even check if IT IS installed],
8. Make sure your baseq3 folder has proper files, no .mp3's in it and others,
9. Make sure your general Quake folder is build ok,
10. Delete your Quake and get a copy of it from a different location.

I didn't have my game installed, so I installed it. And it's working now, wow, I can't even believe it. Thank you, Khaz.

In the main menu set your nick to a simple one without codes and not standard colors, set something like "Komby". May helps, I think.

If not, there's still one thing, according to this you should uninstall and totally delete your pb folder, then install it again in the proper way explained by Fate in this thread.

Plus, when you reinstall pb, grab a pb folder from a person which pb works for sure, then paste the files to your pb folder. I'm sure it will work.
