problem with q3 simbols

when i bind name in my cfg with e+ simbol letters and change name my name change to unnamedplayer, and i bind commands to say somethink with it and press to use it i see only dots. Its problem with my q3 or its a bug? maybe its possible to do somethink?

ps. if i write to my cfg seta name and when name with simbols its works.
His problem on 2 comps

write the name in a cfg

in the cfg has to be:

seta name "name"

then /bind key exec name.cfg

then it should work Winking

not sure that you mean, cos then i write: bind key exec name.cfg and in game i press binded key i see: exec <filename> execute a script

make a text in baseq3 with ur name like :

e.g ( name lnx ) :: seta name "lnx"
save text as (e.g) lnx.txt

in console in quake : /exec lnx.txt
writeconfig lnx
and when u execute /exec lnx.cfg

liquid funk!
